Disappointment

It has almost been a week since Christmas and I have many new experiences to write about. First, I need to tell you about Thanksgiving. It was very interesting since mom and I drove to grandma's and I was super-duper excited to see her again. Then on Thursday Uncle Dave and Aunt Rebecca came and they brought my 3 cousins, Callie, Latte, and Al. They are very different from me and I really wanted to play with them but they just hissed and swatted at me. Mom says that cats don't play like puppies but I tried anyway. Mom got sick over Thanksgiving so grandma took care of me while mom slept a lot. Fast forward a month later and again mom and I went to grandma's. This time it was very weird there was a tree in the living room and there were shiny balls and sparkly things all over it. I tried to smell it but these green pointy things on it pricked my nose, so I basically left it alone. One Tuesday Uncle Dave called and said that he very very sick and that Aunt Rebecca, Callie, Latte, and Al and himself were not going to come for Christmas. :O( So it was just grandma, mom and I Christmas morning. There is lots to tell you about Christmas day and pictures to share and I will do that later. But I want to get to this title of this blog...Disappointment...Santa was very good to me...he brought me lots of toys and treat but I was disappointed that I haven't seen snow yet. So for those of you who voted in my poll of what did you think I was going to get for Christmas you were all wrong. Only toys and treats for me. I will blog again soon and tell you how my first Christmas was with pictures...boy that Santa is an amazing dude!

CHRISTMAS????

Mom says that I need to write a letter to Santa for Christmas.
So first...what's Christmas? AND why do I need to write a letter? AND what's a letter?

Mom says that Christmas is a holiday (what's that) where we exchange presents (I know what those are!). We also celebrate the birthday of some guy...but I don't get that either.

Mom says that grandma, Uncle David, Aunt Rebecca, Uncle Dan, and Aunt JuJu will use my letter to get things that I want or need. Mom also says she will forward my letter to Santa (who is he again?).

So here it is...

Dear Santa,
My name is Bailey and I have never written a letter before so I hope I do this okay. My mom says I need to tell you what a good puppy I have been this year. So I have been very good with the exception of pooping and peeing in the house, running away from grandma after a bath, bothering mom while she types on the computer, wanting to play with everyone who comes to our house, getting on the end tables and coffee table, and I am sure there are others but over all I have been very good. Mom even says that I am a very good girl when I go potty outside!
There are lots of things on my list, Santa. Mom says don't get me plush toys that I destroy them BUT boy I love them. I need new Nylabones like the Double Action Dental Chews or the "Wolf" for powerful chewers. I also need a new Kong. My puppy Kong is going to be thrown away soon according to mom. I really want a Redskin Pet Jersey a small one should do. That way mom and I can watch the games and support the Redskins. Any toy that is Vinyl or Latex is good. I love tug-of-war ropes. Mom says to ask for snow but I don't know what snow is...so bring some snow for mom please.
I am not sure who you are Santa but mom says that if I believe in you and if I am a good puppy that you will bring me toys and treats...so bring it on Santa!

That Red Furry Thing

In mom's computer room there are a lot of these red furry things. The bed that grandma sleeps in when she comes to visit has them on it and there are 3 shelves with lots of them on it. While working on other blogs I found this video footage that mom took after I had my whoo-whoo surgery. I really don't like that red thingie at all!

Mom took this picture during a tense moment during a Redskin football game. Every Sunday we sit on the couch and watch the Redskins play the game (Except when she goes to the game and leaves me at home because "NO DOGS AT FEDEX FIELD!!!". It's fun to watch the game there is whistles and yelling and according to mom the skins are doing pretty good this year considering. I just listen to her and watch the game on TV. Some day it will all make sense. I wish I had a redskin jersey like mom though...maybe that Santa guy will bring me one!

ELECTION DAY

A few days ago mom got to stay home from work. She left for a couple hours though...she said she had to go vote. When she got home she had a sticker on her shirt. She put it on my head. She thought it was funny but I don't like sticky things on my head.

HALLOWEEN

For Halloween (What ever that is?) I got to dress up as a princess. I had a pick tu-tu and a pink princess hat.

However, I didn't like the hat so mom had to rethink my costume.

See I am missing my hat...I shook it off.

So then I got a pink dress with a necklace.

Mom says that I am still a princess but I just think I look cute! We didn't go trick-or-treating...mom says that I am too young...maybe next year!

It's Been Awhile

Well, folks it has been awhile since I last wrote anything and that is because mom went back to work at the end of August and I am not allowed on the computer while she is at work. She usually comes home and works more from her computer and I have had no time to blog. However, a lot has happened lately. Football season started and mom is teaching me a lot about the game and the Redskins. When we watch the game I get concerned about mom because when #47, Chris Cooley, does something good she yells "COOOOOOLEEEEEY!" she does the same thing for Fred Smoot too. It is very weird and it sounds like she is howling so I get concerned and jump up in her face to make sure she is okay. Soon I will write about Halloween and how mom dressed me up as a princess and Election Day. Mom says its going to get busy soon and we are going to go to Grandma's for Thanksgiving. What's a Thanksgiving? I guess I'll find out. I'll try to post some pictures soon.

Hide and Seek

While we were at grandma's mom and I played hide and seek. See mom hides and I try to find here, however, it is very difficult because I can not reach the thing that opens the door. One day mom went into the big bathroom at grandma's (I think she was taking a bath or shower one of my favorite things) but she shut the door. Grandma took pictures of me trying to get in ... it is very difficult.

A LOT HAS HAPPENED

A lot has happened since my last post. On July 21st, Mom and I got in the car and went to Hagerstown. Mom had a dentist appointment. When we got there grandma was there and she stayed with me while mom got her teeth cleaned. Everyone from the office came out and said how cute I was...they are really smart people. Then we left there and we went to grandma's house. I really like grandma's house she has wood floors and I slide around on them. Mom and Grandma would sometimes go out for a while and leave me in my big cage. Mom took a picture of before and after...I don't see the problem.

Mom and grandma left for 4 days and left me with Anita, a neighbor of grandma's. She is very nice and has a very large dog named Kato. I love him but he thinks I am WILD! While Anita was taking care of me mom and grandma were in Canton, Ohio at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.







We were at grandma's for 2 weeks. When they got back from the Hall of Fame we left grandma's and went back to our house on Monday. The next day we went to the vet...it was a very strange day. Everything was great. Then I went to sleep and when I woke up I had this plastic collar on and my tummy hurt a lot. Mom says I have to wear this collar for two weeks but boy my tummy itches.

I LOVE WATER!

Here is a funny story, everyone thinks it funny but mom. First, I am only allowed in the kitchen, dining room, living room and hallway in our house. Second, I am allowed in the bathroom, computer room, and mom's room if mom or someone else is in those rooms. Mom usually has the door shut to these rooms because I redecorate them by either moving the throw rugs or pillows or I leave little bathroom presents on the floor for mom to clean up.
Anyway...One morning I was playing in the dining room and mom decided to take a bath so she left the bathroom door open so she could watch me. First, I went into the bathroom and put my front paws on the edge of the tub and I got to lick the water off moms wet arm. Then I went back into the dining room to chew on my rope. But as I sat there I thought it looks like mom is having a lot of fun in there so I stood up and took a running start and jumped into the tub with mom harness and all. The water was too deep and I came up choking on the water but mom quickly picked me up and let some of the water out so I could stand in the water. Then mom got out of the tub and left me there. All of a sudden all the water disappeared.
I also like ice cube but the funny thing is I get an ice cube and I play with it and hide it under a blanket or something and then I go back to play with it and it is gone...I haven't figured that one out yet.

Father's Day

Before Father's Day we went back to the vets and found out that I am allergic to grass and I had a bad ear infection. So mom had to pin me down to put medicine in my ears...I didn't like it so I made it as hard as I could thinking mom would give up but she didn't!
Father's Day was a sad day but we had fun. Mom was sad because she was thinking of her dad. But I got to meet Uncle Dave and we went in the car to this very large building. It was decorated in purple, orange, and green. It had the big words on it FedEx Field. There was also the colors of Burgundy and gold...there is a lot of that color at our house too. We walked all the way around that building mom cried some but I found lots of neat things like cigarette butts, broken glass and there were lots of different kinds of smells at that place. I liked the long walk and I liked meeting my Uncle Dave.

My Story

HI! My name is Bailey and I am a puggle. One of my parents was a pug and the other was a beagle. I was born on February 28th, 2008. I was one of 5 puppies. Over Memorial Day weekend a lady came in to the puppy shop and played with my brother and I. She was very nice and she took pictures of use. She came back on June 10th and I got to go home with her. She became my mom. We left the puppy shop, in Fairfield, PA, and drove to my grandma's house. I was very scared and during the drive I threw up my breakfast but it was okay because my mom and grandma cleaned it up. That night mom and grandma tried to put me in the kitchen to sleep but I just barked and howled and cried when finally after two hours grandma came and took me to the same room they were in. I slept in my travel crate but I felt much better because I could see them and I had never been by myself before. We got up very early in the morning and got back into the car. This time it was an even longer trip first we went to the airport and dropped grandma off. She was leaving for California to visit my Uncle Dan and Aunt JuJu and my cousins, Gizmo, Katie, and Sweet Pea. Then we drove to my mom's friends house, Donna. Her house was very interesting she had 3 other animals that I had never seen before. Mom said they were cats but they were really weird. Then we left Donna's and went to the vet. It was okay they played with me and gave me treats, but then they gave me a shot because I had thrown up again in the car. I really didn't like that part. Then we finally got to my new home. It was a lot of fun because I would find things that I wanted to chew but mom would take them from me and I would have to find something else. There is a picture of all the things I found in the backyard that I brought to mom.






Anyway we hung out for about a week. Mom gets really upset when I don't go outside to go to the bathroom so I am working on that. There are more pictures of me and I am sure I will add more to my blog as things come to me but for right now I like to eat, play and sleep. I sleep A LOT!

At our house see those shoes...they are very tastie but mom usually takes them from me. :o(

I love raw-hide it is the bestest thing to chew and mom doesn't take it way. :o)
